Helloooo,
Yet another installment from the pages of my life here in South Africa. The week has been amazing. Spent lots of time connecting with people and enjoying the country. I've hooked up with some legends. Breakfast with the one and only Shane Watkins, a random meeting on the beach with the beautiful Jenny Akal, and of course king of the cooked canine Mr.Mark Slaughter, and Matt and Jackie Puts. It's been amazing as always, God has continued to do some great things to remind me why I'm here. The weather has been a bit dodgy, mix of rain and clouds and some wicked thunderstorms. Every time the sun decides to break through I hop in the bucky and jet to the beach to soak it in. I've ended up staying with my good mate Rowan Mallon for my time here in Durban. I was planning on hopping around from place to place while I was here, but he's gone above and beyond to allow me to crash at his digs until I head through to Cape Town this Friday. He's been amazing allowing me to use his car during the days and putting up with my guitar playing when he gets in from work. He's made my stay here incredibly special. I'm sure you'll meet him on our side of the pond some time very soon. The church here is killer. A little bigger than I'm used to, but still very cool to see family worked out in a bigger context. So between connecting with friends, church, playing some guit, surfing, walks on the beach, and munching some serious biltong, my week has been great. I feel strangely at home here, probably because I have more South Africans in my life than Canadians back home. Looking forward to what the second half of my journey is going to look like. I'll keep you all updated. Love you lots,
Dave
